時代が変わりゆく中で進化し続け、開始当初から日本のドラムンベースを象徴するパーティーとして躍進し続けている WOMB の最長レジデントパーティー 06S。16年目に突入した’17年2月に開催されるこのパーティーは、第2週目の土曜日に、バレンタインキャンペーンとして、女性は入場無料でスペシャルドリンクのサービスも!! 女性の方々の多数のご来場をお待ちしています。
そして、今回の 06S のゲスト DJ には、日本を代表するプロデューサー MAKOTO を迎える。LTJ Bukem の Good Looking Records の専属アーティストとして’98年にデビュー以来、ソウル、ジャズ感覚溢れる感動的な楽曲を次々に生み出し、これまでに2枚のアーティストアルバム “Human Elements”(2003年)、”Believe In My Soul”(2007年)をリリース。その他にも、DJ Marky の Innerground、Fabio のCreative Source、DJ Zinc の Bingo、London Elektricity の Hospital、CIA、Liquid V などの UK 主要レーベルから数々の楽曲を発表している。DJ としては、2枚のミックス CD “Progeression Sessions 9 – Live in Japan 2003”、”DJ Marky & Friends Presents Makoto”をこれまでに発表し、世界30カ国、100都市以上を周り、その実⼒を余すところなく証明し続けてきた。Jazzanova との活動でしられる Paul Randolph を迎えた"Tower Of Love" 、これまでの作品を集めたコンピレーションアルバム"This Is How I Do" 、チャリティーコンピレーション"Something We Can Do”、待望の New アルバム "Souled Out”を自身のデジタルレーベル HE:Digital より発表。’12年2月に8人編成のフルバンドでのライブを収録した"Live @ Motion Blue Yokohama"、そして’13年6月には Souled Out 3部作の完結となる"Souled Out Remixed"をリリースした。その後、’14年には DJ Kawasaki とのコラボレーショントラック “Where Would We Be ft. Paul Randolph & Makoto”のリリースや共同リミックスワークも活発化している。そして2015年7月、UK のベテランアーティスト Asides とのコラボレーションアルバム”Aquarian Dreams”を Eastern Elements よりリリース。今年2017年には名門 Hospital Records の21周年コンピレーションアルバムに “Speed Of Life”, “Eldervine (with Blu Mar Ten)” の2曲で参加し大きな話題を集めている正に世界基準のアーティストだ。
今月は日本人 DJ に特化したパーティーとなり、16年に渡って WOMB の看板を背負ってきた、DJ AKi、そして、昨年から開始したレーベル Subdued の Itti と Maozon の b2b セットと、見所満載!! ドラムンベースフリークの方々は、日本のドラムンベースシーンの為にも是非サポートをよろしくお願いします！

06S is the longest running resident party at WOMB, and is an emblem of Japan’s drum and base scene, continuing to grow as the times change and evolve. Entering its 16th year, the next edition will be held on the second Saturday in February, and as a special offer for Valentine’s, ladies get in free and also get a special free drink!! We are looking forward to seeing many ladies at the event.
As the guest DJ for this edition of 06S, we are happy to welcome MAKOTO, a producer who embodies the Japanese scene. After debuting in 1998 as an artist on LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, he has created a series of emotional music with aspects of soul and jazz, producing two albums: “Human Elements” (2003), “Believe In My Soul” (2007). He has also released a variety of compositions on major UK labels, such as DJ Marky’s Innerground, Fabio’s Creative Source, DJ Zinc‘s Bingo, London Elektricity’s Hospital, CIA, and Liquid V. As a DJ, he has released two mix CDs: “Progeression Sessions 9 – Live in Japan 2003” and “DJ Marky & Friends Presents Makoto”, and has travelled to over 100 cities in 30 countries, thoroughly proving his talents. In July 2015, he released the collaboration album “Aquarian Dreams” with the veteran UK artist Asides on Eastern Elements. In 2017, he has attracted a lot of attention and proved himself a world-class artist by participating in the 21st anniversary compilation album of the major label Hospital Records, which featured “Speed Of Life” and “Eldervine (with Blu Mar Ten)”.
