GREYHOUND with Borrowed Identity

2010年にロンドンでスタートし、昨年に活動を再開して以降これまでにCitizenn、Moodymanc、Joyce Munizをといった気鋭のアーティストをゲストに招聘し勢いに乗る"GREYHOUND"。
2016年２回目の開催となる今回は、House, Ostgut Ton, Mistress, Quintessentialsなどから多種多様なリリースを重ね、変幻自在なDJスタイルを持つドイツの奇才、Borrowed Identityが登場。
迎え撃つ国内DJは、先日行われた主宰パーティーTHE GUEST HOUSEが脅威の動員と盛り上がりをみせた"KINKY GROOVE"、今最も旬なハウスパーティーEUREKA!の主宰クルーである"sio"、Knock、Nakagaw、Genki Tanakaの3人からなるトリオ"Zirasole"、そしてオーガナイザー兼レジデントDJである"kazizi"がメインフロアで参戦。
ラウンジフロアにはGREYHOUNDにはもはや欠かせない存在になってきているおなじみの面々に加えて、今回初登場のDJもクレジットされるなどHouse、TechnoだけにとどまらずDiscoやHipHopにいたるまでジャンルに縛られることなく様々な人が楽しめるラインナップに仕上がっている。

Borrowed Identityは”エレクトロミュージックシーンのカメレオン”と賞賛される。　彼は自らのパフォーマンスの中で、クラウドが我を忘れるほどに解き放たれるために、必要なもの全てを与えることを信条としている。それゆえに一般的なDJのように安易に自らのスタイルを宣伝する事よりも、全てのベニューの空気感を捉え、クラウドのフロウとともにその日のセットを構築していく。　一つの世界観に留まらない彼のセットは主にハウス、テクノディスコ／ファンク、アフロビートなどのミックスだが、ダンスフロアが求めるのであれば時にはその一つにフォーカスし、時にはその枠からも外れ、クラウドを導いていく。若くしてヨーロッパ中の様々なクラブでDJした経験からくる確かな見地が、彼のその変幻自在なDJスタイルを支えているのだろう。　また、そのDJからも伺える柔軟な彼の音楽性は楽曲にも反映され、多種多様な楽曲をLet’s Play House, Ostgut Ton, Mistress, Quintessentialsなどの主要レーベルからリリースしている。

Borrowed Identity is a chameleon in the electronic music scene. You can catch him playing a groovy house set or he can turn up and bang out uncompromising industrial techno if that’s the vibe of the night. His sets are mostly a mix of house, techno, disco/funk and afrobeat but he can also focus on one sound and take the crowd in one direction when the dancefloor needs it. He tries to give the crowds he is playing for everything they need to let go and lose their minds, thats why he doesn’t stick to one sound like so many Djs at the moment with their one dimensional styles. Instead of creating an easy to promote image as a DJ he is trying to catch the vibe in every venue and goes with the flow of the people.
He is young but wise beyond his years and has already played many of the renowned clubs in Europe and most parts of the world. He also already released all kinds of sounds and styles on important labels like Let’s Play House, Ostgut Ton, Mistress or Quintessentials.
Mr. G considers him as ‘…one of the new school leaders’ and his music has been supported and played regularly by heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Mike Huckaby, Len Faki, Move D and KiNK amongst many more.
