電気グルーヴ石野卓球レジデントパーティー STRENE。今年は横浜アリーナでの WIRE に関してはお休みだが、STERNE はお休みすること事なく毎月開催中。卓球氏が夏のフェスで多忙を極める中、開催される今回のゲストには、生粋のハウスミュージックアーティスト PHIL WEEKS が STERNE 初見参。プレイにおいても制作においても、個性的なパリジャンが届けるのはクラシック・シカゴ・ハウスとフランスの新世代スタイルの影響にヒップホップ的アティチュードを加えた荒削りなビートである。彼のレーベル、ROBSOUL RECORDINGS でもアンダーグラウンド・ハウスの第一人者のひとりとされているアーティスト。SANKEYS、MINISTRY OF SOUND、BACK TO BASICS そして STEREO といったベニューで頻繁にプレイし、パリの有名ベニュー REX のイベント GET UNDERGROUND ではレジデントを務めている。また MIDDLE LOUNGE には TOKYO NO.1 アンダーグランドパーティーと言っても過言ではない OSUSHI DISCO 所属アーティスト GOSHIN が立ち上げるラウンジパーティー BACKGAMMON (バックギャモン)がキックオフする。

Denki Groove's Takkyu Ishino Resident Party – STRENE
WIRE may be taking a break from Yokohama Arena this year, but STRENE is still going strong every month. With Mr. Takkyu busy with festival work all summer, our guest artist this session will be house music purist Phil Weeks, making his STRENE debut! Original in both play style and production, this unique Parisian will treat us to some Classic Chicago House, as well as to the new French style with some rough beats and a hip-hop attitude. With his personal label Robsoul Recordings he's earned a reputation as a leading artist on the underground house scene. A frequent performer at venues such as Sankeys, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo, Phil is also a resident artist at the popular French venue Rex's "Get Underground" events. Also, in the Middle Lounge, the "Backgammon" lounge party will kick off with artist GOSHIN – an artist from Tokyo's we-dare-to-say premiere underground party OSUSHI DISCO.
