電気グルーヴ、石野卓球レジデントパーティー STERNE。W杯 2014 開催月となる6月のゲストはW杯開催国ブラジルの No.1 テクノアーティストと言っても過言ではない、RENATO COHEN が登場。ポルトガル語で「ブラジル・サンパウロ州の出身者」を意味する「パウリスタ」である Renato Cohen は、この1700万の人々がひしめき対比が顕著な巨大都市で1974年に生まれ、今も暮らしている。02年に Carl Cox のレーベル Intec で世界的ヒットとなった"Pontapé"をリリースし、5万枚を超えるスマッシュヒットを記録したことでシーンに躍り出た。近年では人気のテクノレーベル 100% Pure より、非常に強烈な"Suddenly Funk"をリリース。また、彼のベストヒット"Pontapé"のリメイクを Drumcode でリリースして、Beatport でテクノ第1位に輝くなど、飛躍的に活躍を続けている。

It's no exaggeration to say that he is Brazil's number one techno artist. Renato is a Paulista, which is the Portuguese word for someone who comes from Sao Paulo in Brazil. Sao Paulo is an enormous metropolis of remarkable contrasts, thronged with 17 million residents. Renato was born in Sao Paolo in 1974 and still lives there today. He released Pontapé on Carl Cox's label Intec in 2002 and it became an international success. He burst onto the scene by recording a smash hit that sold over 50,000 copies. In recent years, he has released the extremely intense Suddenly Funk on the techno label 100% Pure. He continues to make great strides by remaking his biggest hit Pontapé, releasing it on Drumcode, and rising to the glittering heights of the techno number one spot on Beatport.
