Edit Select

Tony Scott is a producer who has always kept his ear to the ground. Edit Select however, has
been the sole focus over the last few years. Releases on CLR, Electric Deluxe, Semantica, Figure,
Ostgut Ton and his own Edit Select Records has cemented his reputation of quality in Techno circles.
He is an accomplished DJ playing at clubs and festivals around the world, taking in 3 tours of Japan
last year alone.
As an artist himself Edit Select recently turned out reworks of Speedy J & Gary Beck's 'Vaag',
Dadub's 'Metropolis', Pfirter's 'Universe' and a prestigious remix of the 'Spock' track from new
VCMG project from Vince Clarke (Erasure, Depeche Mode) and Martin L. Gore (Depeche Mode)
on Mute Records. Remixes for Mark Broom's 'Hypnotic Regression' on edit select & Mike Parker will
also join a collaboration with Sandwell District's Silent Servant in thefirst half of 2012 (to be released
on Edit Select).
After a year of respite on the Edit Select imprint the label was re-launched in December 2011 with
a collaboration between long-standing allies Edit Select and Gary Beck. The one-track release
'Outset' was a lesson on stripped, dark and droning Techno; a sound that is at the heart of Edit
Select records.
Moving forward the label looks to see its most active spell yet, with some of the most on-form
producers releasing and remixing on it in the coming year. The next two releases will see Edit
Select's 'Surface To Air' remixed by Stroboscopic Artefacts boss Lucy alongside Figure boss Len
Faki. Markus Suckut's new 'False' EP including an Edit Select Remix will follow in Spring 2012.
Other contributors to the label in 2012 include , Silent Servant and Jonas Kopp. ventress, deepbass
and more.
