夏の終わりに、AIR初登場となる大物が現れる。MARCEL FENGLER。現在世界最高峰のクラブとも称されるベルリンBerghainに2004年のオープン時からレジデントDJとして招かれ、以来複雑なドラムパターンとラフなサウンドをシームレスに紡いでいく「ひとつの物語のような」プレイスタイルで、世界中から当地を訪れる数多くのオーディエンスを熱狂させてきたアーティストである。ファンから永らく待望されていたファーストアルバム「Fokus」のリリースパーティであるこの夜には、国内からもGONNNOとSOという実力派DJが参戦。ベルリン、そして東京の最先端テクノサウンドが刺激的にせめぎ合う空間がそこにある。

Big-name artist who’s been bolstering the sound at the greatest club in the world coming to AIR for the first time
Big-name artist MARCEL FENGLER will make his first-ever appearance at Air at the end of the summer. Invited when it opened in 2004 to serve as resident DJ at Berlin’s Berghain, currently reputed as the greatest club in the world, he’s since driven wild many audiences visiting the location from around the world, playing in a style that weaves together complex drum patterns and rough sounds seamlessly into a single story. Also appearing on this night for the release party of his long-awaited first album, "Fokus", will be the talented DJs GONNNO and SO from Japan. It’ll be an exciting night with the cutting edge techno sounds of Berlin as well as Tokyo squaring off on location.

90年代半ばからDJを始め、04年にBerghainがオープンした際にレジデントに抜擢。様々な時代の楽曲を組み合わせる彼は、「一つの物語のようなプレイ」を心がけている。2011年に初のオフィシャル・ミックスCD『Berghain 05』をリリース、今年７月待望のファースト・アルバム、『Fokus』を発表。
