2014年も数えるところ残り2回の開催となった電気グルーヴ, 石野卓球主宰のレジデントテクノパーティー STERNE 。
イレギュラーの第2金曜日の開催となる、今回のゲストはベルリンを拠点に、活躍しているデュオ PAN-POT が STERNE 初登場。TASSILO IPPENBERGER と THOMAS BENEDIX の2人による PAN POT は、わずか2年足らずの間に MOBILEE と EINMALEINS MUSIK の２つのレーベルからヒット作を連発し、シーンにその名を広めてきた実力派である。
ファーストアルバム、“PAN-O-RAMA”では、初期の PLASTIKMAN を思い起こさせる漆黒の ACID やなつかしの BLEEP TECHNO など、様々なエッセンスが盛り込まれた奥深い世界を創り上げ、多くのアーティストから支持を獲得した。また今年に入り自身のニュー・レーベル SECOND STATE AUDIO を立ち上げた。
最新のデジタルテクノロジーによって斬新なサウンドへと昇華されたそのスタイルは、MINIMAL という言葉では片付けられないほどにカラフルである。息つく間もなく畳み掛ける PAN-POT のパフォーマンスを目の当たりにすれば、体を動かさずにはいられない。

This is the penultimate chance in 2014 to experience the electric grooves of our resident techno party 'Sterne', which is chaired by Takkyu Ishino and held (irregularly) on the second Friday of each month. This time we bring you the internationally successful Berlin-based duo Pan-Pot, in their first ever appearance at Sterne. These guys, known individually as Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, are big hitters who have managed, in the short space of just under 2 years, to fire off hit albums on two separate labels (Mobilee and Einmalens Musik) and get their name known widely across the scene.
Their first album 'Pan-o-rama', which brings back memories of the early days of Plastikman, bought together a wide variety of musical flavors - from the deeply dark tune 'Acid' to the nostalgic groove 'Bleep Techno' - to create a uniquely profound audio universe. Through this work they gained the support of a wide array of artists, before going to found their own label, 'Second State Audio', this year.
The have succeeded in taking fresh sounds produced using the very latest digital technology, and pushing them to a new level of awesomeness - resulting in a colorful, intriguing style to which the term 'minimal' does not do justice. Those who pay witness to their overwhelming live performance can simply not help but move their body.
